Bibbi August 1, 2012

Jesse Herman and Delfo Trombetta, The owners of Austin Mexican food restaurant La Condesa plan to open Sway, a modern Thai restaurant, at 1417 S. First St. in South Austin by the end of the summer.

Executive chef and partner Rene Ortiz worked for years under world-renowned Thai chefs in Sydney.

The dessert menu will be crafted by Laura Sawicki, voted “Best New Pastry Chef” by Food & Wine magazine, and the beverage menu will be curated by mixologist and Cocktail World Cup winner Nate Wales.

This is a new concept for the team, which currently has two La Condesa restaurants in Austin and California, with a Los Angeles location opening in 2013.
